In the light of tonight’s Game of Thrones TV premiere we propose a new, sensational setting for the GOT series – Sinj.
The fortress that has been watching over the entire Cetina region for almost two millenia is in need of more attention and PR. So, I suggest it be proposed to GOT makers as their new setting. It looks wildly romantic and mysterious and lacks only a dragon or two and a beautiful khaleesi to complete the picture.
The people of Sinj would gladly welcome Daenerys Targaryen, Stormborn, even without dragons. Maybe she could find her new Khal among the couragious Alka knights during the 300th Alka tournament. There are plenty of horses in the region, though we are a little short on slaves but we love to dress up for Carnival.
Given that the state of the fortress is not as superb as that of Dubrovnik, Klis or Šibenik – our fortress could serve as a setting for one that was destroyed by a vicious and cruel army with dragons – kind of like Harrenhal.
